Whilst out walking this morning with Tweeddale U3A near Drumelzier I came across this memorial at the side of the track.  It was attached to a rock with a fine view back down the glen to towards Drumelzier.  The memorial is close to Drumelzier Burn about 1km from the B712 at Grid Ref NT 141 334.

The inscription reads:
Jim Cox

1934 - 2003
In memory still I climb the hill
and hear the curlews haunting call
listen to the murmuring rill
and see the purple heather bloom
